About Serengeti National Park
‍Established in 1951, Serengeti National Park is known for its lush green valleys, its network of idyllic rivers, and incredible wildlife diversity. As an important transition zone between the southern plains and the northern woodlands, resident wildlife feed, mate, and raise their young.

Situated on Tanzania’s northern border with Kenya, the Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most iconic national parks and sets the scene for one of nature’s greatest annual spectacles – The Great Migration. Described as one of the ten natural travel wonders of the world, it’s a marvel that needs to be experienced. The pounding of hooves and clouds of dust cloak the Serengeti as hundreds of thousands of gnus and zebra race against the skyline in their annual migration. It all starts suddenly in late May or early June when wildebeests move away from the short grass plains between the Ngorongoro highlands and Seronera to settle on the southern plains. This spectacle can be viewed from the ground, but it is an awesome sight from the sky in a hot air balloon.
